Harvard University conducted a new study showing that dogs drink the same way as cats do, using "adhesion of liquid to the tongue tip." Using high-speed visible light videos and x-ray videos, the scientists drew a conclusion that dogs, like cats, "draw liquid upwards into their mouths in a column as it adheres to the dorsal surface of the tongue."
