Puppy school

The best start in canine life

We conduct a weekly puppy school at Burnside Veterinary Centre and Prospect Road Veterinary Hospital. Puppy school classes are for pups aged 6 - 12 weeks. Your  puppy must have their first vaccination before commencing their first class.

About Puppy Pre-school

Puppy Pre-School is a must for any owner wanting a well-behaved, sociable family pet. Our classes are designed for puppies between the ages of 6 and 12 weeks. This is the critical learning stage when your puppy gains important socialisation skills and learns the basics of being a well behaved pet for life. At Adelaide Animal Hospitals we believe it is much easier to teach your puppy correctly from the start rather than addressing bad behaviour later on.

Why Puppy Pre-School?

Each year thousands of dogs are destroyed or end up in pounds and animal shelters (and are often euthanased) due to behavioural problems. There are also many other dogs who are confined to their own home or backyard because they have poor social and behavioural skills. At the age of 6-12 your puppy is at the optimal age to be exposed to as many things he or she is likely to encounter as an adult as possible. This needs to be done safely!

Puppy Pre-School provides a safe environment for your puppy to learn important socialise and classes. Classes are kept small so time can be spent with each puppy and their family.

Day courses may be available depending on demand. Please ask us for more information.
